A farm building used at various times as a stable, henhouse, cowshed, piggery and haystore was first converted into two cottages in 1964, and then brought up to the standards of the Landmark Trust. The bigger of the two single storey cottages has a living room flooded with light, from its three large windows. It sleeps three, with a bed in the living room.

The cottages look south east across the St John's Valley, out to sea towards Devon. Although they are not the most handsome buildings on the island, they are two of the best loved. They occupy a fine position sheltered and secluded, with a beautiful view.
