Their very own "master" butcher will prepare and present the various cuts of meat to the highest standard before being individually sealed and labelled in freezer bags, packed in insulated boxes and then sent out by special courier for overnight delivery to your doorstep. The meat can either be refrigerated and eaten within 3 days or frozen for future use. A box will contain one half lamb with an approximate weight of between 7kg to 9kg (15 - 20lbs in old money!)
Animal welfare is of the highest priority on Lundy and as a result we have been very careful to choose a local butcher who employs traditional methods in the preparation of meat. This involves the meat being hung for several days in a temperature controlled store to allow the full development of flavour and tenderness.
You will only be charged on the actual weight of lamb sent. Each box will contain:
2 half leg Joints (approximately 1kg 1½kg each)
2 half shoulder joints (approximately 1kg to 1½kg each)
12 chops (approx) packed in packs of 4 (approximately 400-500gms per pack)
Breast of lamb (approximately 750gm - 1kg)
The overall cost will be £6.25 per kg for the half lamb plus £10.00 post and packing putting the average cost per box at £58.00
